Bringing Tyler home

I'm falling behind in my posts I know. Quick story of bringing Tyler home one week ago. Dallas received record snowfall that day. Literally, 12 inches in one day which is the all time record snowfall for Dallas. This is what it looked like from our front windows:

Anyway, it took the Prius 3 tries to get up our steep driveway! As we were gunning it up the driveway and sliding back down, I was thinking this probably tops the list of Things You Shouldnt Do with a Newborn. But, third times a charm and we made it safely into the garage. Welcome home Tyler!

Welcome Tyler!

We have another sweet baby boy! Tyler Alexander was born yesterday at 2:53 pm weighing 6 lbs 14 oz and 19" long. We are both doing great and will go home tomorrow. Big brother Bryce is so proud! He wore his big brother tshirt to school today and took a picture of Tyler to school with him today.

Yee Haw!

We took Bryce to the Ft. Worth Stock Show yesterday morning. I have to say, I've lived in TX 99% of my life, and even I felt like an outsider at this place! We were the only ones without FFA or Nascar jackets and canvas coveralls on.

Alex must have know what this event was like because he asked if we should take the truck. No way, I said. It's about 30 mins away, so let's put the miles on the Prius. So, we pull into the parking lot at the stock show, and it's trucks, I mean BIG trucks, as far as the eye can see. As we paid our $6 to park, the attendant said, "You see those 2 big trucks back there? Can you please park between them? We can't get any other car to fit between them." Alex was so embarrassed! ha I told him we could have stuck a sign on our Prius that said "Our other car is an F250!"
