ARUBA, Jamaica, oooh I wanna take ya...

Aruba was amazing! We (Alex, Bryce, and I) were there for a week with Alex's family. (Tyler went to baby bootcamp at GiGi's house - see previous post.) We had TWO 2-bedroom condos, so we had lots of space and full kitchens.

Day 1 Friday: Travel ALL day. I will never do 3 flights again - no matter how many aadvantage miles it saves us. UGH. Bryce was a trooper though, and no air sickness, so that was a plus!

Day 2 Saturday: Hanging at the hotel pool and grocery shopping. About 90% of the stuff in an Aruban grocery store is the same stuff you get here, just more expensive, of course. And the pool had a lazy river and waterslide - BIG hit with everyone!

Day 3 Sunday: More pool and beach. Bryce is a little fish! Swim lessons are totally paying off!

Day 4 Monday: Pool and beach. Dinner at Madame Jeanette, which was incredible! Only problem is that the kitchen got backed up, and we were at the table for 3 hours. Kids were good, but REALLY ready to go home.

Day 5 Tuesday: Catamaran snorkeling trip! Beautiful scenery and open bar... :) The Antilles is a German freighter that was sunk off the shore of Aruba in the early 40s. Pretty cool to see! Bryce also had no fear here - he sat on the trampoline dangling his legs while we were sailing. Brave boy!

Day 6 Wednesday: The "kids" went on the Kukoo Kanuku party bus for a night of dinner and barhopping. And yours truly won the limbo contest!

Day 7 Thursday: We rented Jeeps and went off-road! There is a national park on Aruba with natural pools for swimming. Only problem is that you have to 4x4 to get there. Well, the off-roading was a little more adventurous than we thought it would be, but the adventure was worth it! Incredible views! Poor Bryce got car-sick on both legs of the trip, but he's a trooper - way to puke and rally little man!

Dinner at Flying Fishbone - again, incredible. No joke, the front row of tables were physically in the WATER. We were a few feet back in the sand, but still had wonderful views of the water and ate with our feet in the sand (something I promised Bryce we would do!)

Day 8 Friday: Again, three flights. Never again! But Bryce was a great boy on the flights (and layovers)! GREAT TRIP! Hope to go back soon!
