River Cats!

Bryce is playing baseball. Yes, it's the cutest thing in the world! He's actually a little too young (you are supposed to be 3 years old), but they let him play because there are quite a few young 3 year olds in the league. He wears the full uniform: baseball socks, pants, sliding pants (thanks to daddy), belt, jersey, and hat. The smallest size they have is Youth Small, so everything is baggy, which makes it even more adorable. :)

His team is called the River Cats. When I told him his team's name, he was really confused:
Me: Bryce, your team is called the River Cats!
Bryce (with confused look): Mommy, there are cats on my team?
Me: No, honey, that's just your team name. That's what you are called.
Bryce: Mommy, there are FISHIES in the river, NOT cats!
Let's be honest, I don't know what a River Cat is, either!

Here are a few action shots from last week's game:
The big wind-up...

and the throw!

Hey batter batter!

Nice swing! (All that backyard practice is paying off!)
